Food Pantry – (open M-Th, 9-4p and available to the public). Individuals are asked to provide their Driver License at the time of the pick-up and are welcome to one bag of food per month.
Mobile Meals – (Wednesdays) Cook and deliver food to individuals identified by our local Mobile Meals program and to our church shut-ins.
Choctaw Elementary – (ongoing) We have adopted this school to help meet needs as they arise throughout the year and to show the teachers our appreciation in various ways each semester.
Summer Brown Bag Program – (weekly in the summer) In concert with the Oklahoma Food Bank, prepare and deliver lunches to families at Nicoma Park Elementary, Nicoma Park Intermediate, and Westfall Elementary who have identified a food insecurity.
School Supplies Drive – (July/August) Provide school supplies to individuals in Choctaw Nicoma Park schools and surrounding areas.
Yearly Mission Trip – (summer) Travel to locations in Oklahoma or Kentucky to assist as needed in construction, clean-up, or other missional projects.
Angel Tree – (December) Purchase and deliver gifts to children of incarcerated parents.
Grocery Giveaway – (December) Deliver groceries to families in the Choctaw Nicoma Park schools and local shut-ins who have identified a food insecurity.
Apportionments – (ongoing) As members of the Oklahoma United Methodist Conference, CUMC gives a portion of regular yearly giving to what we call “apportionments”. Eastern Oklahoma County Resource Center – (ongoing) Congregants sit on the board of the Resource Center and participate in their yearly Christmas party for families in need. CUMC will help service the Resource Center once a building is established.
Exodus House – (ongoing) Sponsor an apartment; Collect and donate items for residents as needed.
School Flowerbed Clean-Up – (ongoing) Clean up flower beds and other outdoor areas identified by local schools.
